Scenarios in the Lands of Warlderia

The following adventures and campaigns have all been written for the Lands of Warlderia. Whilst each may be played as a standalone scenario, they are all set within the same persistent world and contribute to its continuing history. Every expedition, battle, diplomatic mission, and desperate struggle takes place against the backdrop of a living world whose history continues to evolve with every adventure. Some are short adventures that can be completed in a single evening's play, ideal for introducing new characters or exploring a forgotten corner of the setting. Others are vast linked campaigns spanning months or even years of real-world gaming, carrying heroes from humble beginnings to positions of wealth, influence, and legend. Together they explore every corner of Warlderia, from the prosperous provinces and bustling cities of the Divine Empire to the untamed wilderness beyond its borders; from windswept mountain passes and ancient forests to haunted ruins, forgotten temples, sprawling dungeons, and the intrigue-filled courts of kings, princes, and ambitious nobles.
Warlderia is a world of ancient histories and uncertain futures. Mighty empires rise and fall, old alliances crumble, forgotten evils awaken beneath the earth, and ambitious rulers seek to reshape the world in their own image. Ancient roads once travelled by lost civilisations lie buried beneath the wilderness, while abandoned fortresses, ruined cities, and long-forgotten tombs conceal treasures and secrets that have lain undisturbed for centuries. Wherever adventurers choose to travel, they will discover that every region possesses its own cultures, dangers, mysteries, and opportunities. The outcome of each scenario has the potential to shape the world around it. Villages may be saved or destroyed, trade routes secured or abandoned, kingdoms strengthened or weakened, ancient evils defeated or unleashed, and the balance of power shifted by the actions of a handful of determined heroes. Victories may inspire future generations, while failures can leave scars that endure for decades. Events in one campaign may influence those that follow, allowing groups to witness the lasting consequences of their own decisions as the history of Warlderia continues to unfold.
Characters are therefore not merely visitors to the setting, they become part of its history. Their deeds may be remembered in the songs of wandering minstrels, recorded within the chronicles of great libraries, celebrated by grateful kingdoms, or cursed by those who survive their failures. A humble adventuring company may one day become the founders of a noble house, the commanders of armies, the discoverers of forgotten realms, or the unlikely heroes who prevented the world from descending into darkness. Although written primarily for Dungeons & Dragons 3.5, many of these adventures can be adapted with little difficulty to other fantasy roleplaying systems. The emphasis throughout is on memorable stories, believable cultures, rich world-building, and meaningful choices rather than simple dungeon exploration alone. Combat, diplomacy, exploration, investigation, survival, and roleplaying each have their place, allowing every group to approach the challenges before them in their own unique way.
Whether you seek heroic quests against monstrous foes, political intrigue between rival kingdoms, military campaigns upon contested frontiers, perilous wilderness exploration, ancient mysteries buried beneath forgotten civilizations, expeditions into the deepest dungeons, or epic struggles that determine the fate of nations, the adventures presented here are intended to offer something for every style of play. Warlderia is a world that rewards curiosity, courage, and imagination. Beyond every mountain range lies another frontier. Beneath every ruined tower waits another forgotten secret. Across every sea lies another kingdom waiting to be discovered. Countless stories remain untold, and countless legends have yet to be written.
Every legend begins with a single adventure.
